"My mission as a Lomilomi kumu teacher is to transmit the spirit of Aloha. To me Aloha is the power that unites heart with heart, soul with soul, life with life, culture with culture, race with race, nation with nation.
I love E a'o mai = to learn, E a'o aku = to teach... I really love both! I have been studying Hawaiian history, traditions and practices for the last 15 years, and I love to share with as many as possible.
You learn while you teach and you teach while you learn. We come to this world to learn and to grow. Each experience teaches us something, a valuable lesson that shapes our future path and interactions with others. Those we meet and the experiences we share help us to evolve toward a higher state, while we help them on their own path. When we have nothing more to learn or to teach, this plane is no longer the right place for us.
Today I honor my Kahunas, my kumu teachers, my guides, my Aumakua, my ancestors, my haumana students, my friends, my 'Ohana family. "
